Since his 1940 appearance in Detective Comics issue #38 as Dick Grayson, only a handful of people have assumed the identity of Robin. However, the acrobat has received various costume changes making him the perfect candidate for stylized figures.

Because Batman occupies the top spot in the DC Super Heroes/DC Universe line, his sidekick naturally is #02 in the order. Not only did the dynamic duo have contrasting personality traits, their superhero suits did as well.
